Gurunjur : A beautiful village District Ghizer

Gurunjur is a beautiful Village of District Ghizar in the Northern Areas of Pakistan. it is situated near headquarter Ghizar. it is along with the river indus. The main road runs opposite of village Gurunjur. from the road this village looks like an English word "X". This village is full of different kinds of trees but grape is one the famous fruit of the village. from the road due to enormous trees it is just like a forest! There is a big heap of sand in the middle of the village from where all surrounding village Buber, Gulmuti, Single and also Gahkuch  can be viewed easily. The point is said to be zero point of the village.


Total population of the village is approximately 2500 (Two Thousand Five Hundred only) and there are 200 (Two Hundred) households. There are many educational institutions, "Diamond Jubilee School (D.J) Hish School Community base, one Gov't Primary School, Two Social Action Schools and also One Public School. There is one Basic Health Unit  for primay health care.

  The people of Gurunjur are very humble and honest. They are hard worker and task oriented. They have patience, Love and hostility  for one another. These people work together for progress of their village. There are many Welfare & other beneficial Societies for needy people. All people are found of Education so they send their children to school regularly so there are not children deprived from school. Many people are serving in high position in Government and other Institutions. A lot of Students are getting Education in different cities of the country.

   In this village some progressive work have been done. For example lik road, channels and water line and currently a main road has been surveyed and hope that the work will be start this year. And also hope that other problems of the village will be solved by dected representative.
